ORIENTEERING: AN EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY FOR ALL COMPETENCES
Affective-social competence: It facilitates the progressive autonomy of action in the medium. It strengthens attitudes of self acceptance, interest, enjoyment, respect, solidarity and cooperation.
Physical competence: It fosters body development and knowledge from an anatomical and physiological viewpoint, improving the physical qualities and facilitating the adoption of health and hygiene habits.
Motor competence: It encourages the knowledge and control of our own body from a kinesthetic, spatial and temporal viewpoint; it improves motor skills and neuropsychological abilities to solve significant problems.
This sport can be learned in courses, workshops, camps, children’s summer camps, special events, seminars oriented to physical education teachers and/or leaders, as an annual systematic sport or an extra activity in job training.
As a physical education professional I have turned Orienteering into my field of specialty. Apart from being a National Champion, I have given many courses at companies, clubs and schools, verifying the excellent processes of change, learning and integration undergone by the participants.
